מויקי

פליקס נוסבאום נולד באוזנבריק, גרמניה. למד ציור בהמבורג, ברלין ורומא. חלק ניכר מיצירותיו עוסק במוראות המלחמה והשמדת היהודים באירופה. במהלך המלחמה ברח לבלגיה בתקווה להינצל מידי הנאצים. בבלגיה המשיך לצייר בזהות מוסתרת במשך כשלוש שנים עד שנתפס בידי הנאצים ונשלח למחנה הריכוז סן סיפריאן בצרפת. ב־1944 נשלח למחנה הריכוזאושוויץ, שם נרצח. העובדה שנוסבאום פעל במסתור, תוך שהוא מותיר את יצירותיו אצל אנשים שונים בתקופה מלאת תהפוכות הקשתה על משימת האיסוף וההערכה. משנשלמה משימת החיפוש והשחזור של יצירותיו של נוסבאום זכתה עבודתו להכרה רחבה. עבודותיו בתקופה שהייתו במחנה סן סיפריאן מצמררות בישירותן ובעומק האימה שהן משקפות .

צייר שלא הכרתי, עד שראיתי כמה ציורים שתפסו חזק את העין והלב.

belu-simion fainaru's rose of nothingness drips black water in art basel 2019

fainaru’s piece, brought to art basel by galeria plan b, relates to the poems of paul celan that deal with the kabbalah, a school of thought branching from judaism, and its concept of nothingness. the black dripping liquid represents black milk, which appears in celan’s poem ‘fugue of death’ as a recurring theme. celan’s poem reads, ’black milk of daybreak we drink at nightfall / we drink it at noon in the morning we drink it at night / we drink it and drink it.
